Mayan wisdom is making its way into the limelight, spearheaded by a growing awareness of the prophetic Mayan calendar end-date, just three years away. This workshop provides an introduction to contemporary understanding of the sacred Mayan calendars by exploring the teachings from the 13th generation Mayan priest and Grand Elder of the Maya of Guatemala, Don Alejandro, as well as noteworthy research from Westerners. The objective of this module is to enable the participant to engage in worthwhile and well-founded discussion about the meaning of the Mayan calendar.
Mayan Calendar Hands-On Workshop
Saturday, October 10, 2009
1:30-5:50 PM
$50 guests, $40 members
The Mayan Tzolkin calendar, also known as “the sacred count of days” is at the core of Mayan cosmology. Designed to bring humans into alignment with the cosmic energies of the universe, this calendar helps us become present to the archetypal energies of each day so that we may amplify our intentions towards our soul’s purpose. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to become a “Daykeeper” who tracks the sacred energies in order to manifest the greatest good. We will be using authentic Mayan daykeeping tools.
